DCNS

The company confirms its commitment to Brest and built a new building at Froutven.
Early 2016, nearly 500 engineers and technicians DCNS group will leave the Naval base and commercial port to move into a new building at Froutven Guipavas. A choice that confirms the local roots of the main industrial employer in Brest city.

Early 2016, DCNS Brest have two major operational sites: in the Naval Base still, but also Froutven. "This move represents a major investment in the context of the group's growth strategy, said Patrick Boissier, DCNS CEO during the laying of the first stone of the building. This site allows us to remain firmly established on the Brest city that is so dear ... It will allow us to continue developing our activities in the naval field and in energy ".

The future building will house 500 engineers, technicians and administrative staff: 280 Management of Information Systems and 200 of the Energy division and marine infrastructure. Built near Eau du Ponant, Campus of Trades Ifac and along the tram line, the project concerns a building of 8300 m2 on three levels, equipped offices, meeting rooms, equipment rooms, a restaurant of 870 m² and 340 parking spaces. Moreover, the future building meets high environmental quality standards. Following a tender, choice of DCNS fell on a group of two development companies (ATI promoter Brest, and Lamotte Group based in Rennes) that builds on local businesses BTP to complete this project.
