Jardin des Explorateurs (Garden of the Explorers)

Located at the mouth of the Penfeld in front of the castle, in the Recouvrance district, the garden of explorers, founded in 1694, must be crossed as one travels the world.


And for good reason: it is home to botanical species from all over the world, brought back by various explorers and botanists from Brest (Bougainville, etc.).


With its belvedere footbridge, it offers walkers a sensational view of the castle, the Penfeld and the military port with, in the background of a postcard, the immense harbor which opens up.
