Navy Museum in Brest
In the exceptional setting of Brest Castle, the National Maritime Museum houses a unique heritage testifying to the great naval adventure of the Brest Arsenal and the French Navy.
In the recently renovated rooms, the visitor can discover the masterpieces of naval decoration, the Lapérouse expedition, the life of the convicts or even the emblematic ships of the contemporary Navy.
The visit combines interior and exterior, allowing you to appreciate the richness of the collections, the panoramas over the harbor and the city and the architecture of the castle: from the Gallo-Roman foundations to the fortifications of Vauban, passing through the curtain walls, the bastion and the walkway, it is a journey through 17 centuries of history offered to the visitor.
